Your article reminded me of walks I used to take past a small blue terrace at 22 Portobello Road, Notting Hill some years ago. It still displays a Blue Plaque proclaiming that George Orwell once lived there. I sometimes use to pause and wonder what inspiration he might have obtained while living there.
